New campsite on the island of Pag: Aminess Avalona Camping Resort

Campsites in Croatia are among the best in Europe, and this year a new campsite is being added to the offer: the Aminess Avalona Resort campsite in the western part of the island of Pag will open at the end of April. It offers family-friendly facilities, several swimming pools, a variety of fully equipped pitches, mobile homes and glamping tents.

Camping on the island of Pag

The island of Pag is famous for its lunar-like surface and beautiful pebble beaches. The island is also known for Pag cheese, Pag salt, Pag lace and the centuries-old olive trees of Lun in the north of the island. On the western side of Pag there are several “green oases” with Mediterranean vegetation, where various campsites have been set up: Most campers know the excellent campsites Straško and Šimuni as well as the newer ones such as Olea, Terra Park Phalaris and SpiritoS.

NEW – Aminess Avalona Resort *****

This spring, on 26 April 2024 to be precise, the new Aminess Avalona Resort campsite will open near Povljana in the south of Pag.

The campsite is located 13 kilometres from the town of Pag and can be reached by ferry from Prizna or via the Pag Bridge in the south. It is located on the Rastavac peninsula, so the east side of the campsite is ideal for sun worshippers, while the pine trees on the west side provide additional shade. The Aminess Avalona Resort is a modern 5-star campsite that fulfils all the criteria for inclusion on the ADAC Superplätze list. It will be open from the end of April to mid-October. In addition to fully equipped pitches, it also offers mobile homes and glamping units and has a total capacity for around 1,800 guests.

Campsite details

A special feature of the campsite is the fact that many pitches and mobile homes will have their own pool. There is also a water park with larger pools and 5 water slides, the largest of which will be 12 metres high and 76 metres long. The pools will be heated and swimming will be possible from May to September, depending on the weather.

The beaches at Aminess Avalona Resort are themed and range from a family-friendly beach to a beach for relaxation and a glamping-themed beach. And because pets are welcome at the campsite, there is also a dog beach. There is a floodlit walking path along the sea. As the campsite is geared towards family holidays, a large part of the facilities will be dedicated to children’s entertainment, including the well-known Aminess Miramì animation. The campsite will also have a STEM park where children can learn through play and develop their creativity and logical thinking. There will also be a swimming school and playgrounds for children.

The campsite offers three different restaurants, cafés, a patisserie, a bakery and a grocery shop. As everything is available on site, guests can enjoy the best on offer without leaving the campsite. Sports activities are also on offer, including fitness classes, basketball, football, tennis and mini-golf courts, a fitness centre and SUP board and e-bike hire.

Mobile homes & glamping villas

A total of 230 mobile homes will be available, 118 of which will have their own pool next to the outdoor terrace. Particular attention has been paid to the interior design of the mobile homes, which are available with two or three bedrooms (Family model) – one with a double bed, the others with two single beds. All mobile homes have two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a living room and a covered terrace with a seating area and two sun loungers.

Two types of mobile homes are available:

– Premium mobile homes with an area of 32 m2, suitable for either 4 + 2 or 6 + 2 people.

– Luxury mobile homes with private pool, 39 m2 area, suitable for 4 + 2 people, located directly by the sea.

Luxury Mare Glamping Villas are located in the north-eastern part of the campsite, with a view of Povljana Bay and Velebit in the background. The 30 exclusive Adria Sky Twin Glamping Villas, located right by the sea, are very spacious with an area of 60 m2 and two double bedrooms for 4 adults, plus additional sleeping space for 2 children in the living room. There is also a kitchen, living room and two bathrooms inside. All glamping units have a private pool and a lounge terrace.
