Visiting the medieval stone town of Bale in Istria, about 7 km from the coast, feels like traveling through time.
The cobbled narrow streets encircling the Soardo castle, the endless olive groves and hilltop vineyards. It feels like time stands still in this area, so the best thing to do is to accept the quietness and calmness surrounding you.
If you go towards the sea in a straight line heading west, you come across another secluded gem: the campsite Mon Perin. A stark contrast to the city it is connected to, the campsite is a very modern complex with a huge swimming pool, wellness area and some of the most amazing camping accommodation options in Istria. Mobile homes, camping villas, glamping tents, with sizes from 32 and all the way to 125 m2, some of them set at beachfront, with pools, hot tubs, … the list goes on and on; it only gets better each year.
